Some normal signs that your pet might be in heat is obviously a bloody discharge sometimes it is just a small amount of normal vaginal discharge one of the other tell-tale signs is that your dogs vagina will become swollen and engorged looking she might also start acting a little different for a few days whether it be more affectionate or aloof. It is also very common for puppies to go into a very short 1st heat with little or no blood or swelling.

You'll know.. Generally they come into season approx

6 mos of age, but they can come in as late as 14 mos even..

Get yourself a trainer or take some classes. Sometimes it's best to take classes and get the socialization along with the training.. Classes teach you how to train your dog.. Something that you'll have and be able to use for ever.

vuvla will swell too during a heat cycle.

Stubborn, well, she is a jack russell! Have you signed up for obedience classes yet?

Patience and repetition is the way to go, this breed is very bouncy and energetic - as I am quite sure you noticed.

Why wait this long to have her spayed, she is more than old enough?
