Update:

Antibiotic, while I agree with you in theory that racial profiling is wrong, I have to say that the muslim community has done precious little to assauge my worries, and obviously the worries of others. If indeed profiling is the only way to rid us of a terrorist threat, then so be it....the muslims have no one to blame but themselves if they do not speak out and display intolerance for the actions of the supposedly few among them. In the early days of our country, good men took a stand and spoke out, it is a pattern here, if muslims would be american citizens they would do well to emulate that behavior rather than live in fear of the own fellows.

Phew! that was a long read, but well worth it. The good captain has all the right ideas, but for this to happen the "good" muslims need to be spared the wrath of the fanatical muslim leaders.

If any of them disagree openly with the jihad, they will be dealt with in the most severe manner. Very few, if any, will want to take that risk.

At the risk of adding fuel to the fire, I say let's keep up what they call the profiling and get rid of as many as we can. If al else fail serious considerations should be given to making a parking lot out of that area. There has never been a terrorist doing anything dangerous when he was busy hiding or running away to save their miserable necks.

Heartwarming - it's no excuse for racism and racial profiling. Racial profiling is wrong, no matter what the circumstances are. In countries we've terrorized, they don't look at a white person and treat them differently, or have their items checked several times over.

    It's no excuse.
