  • When are we Americans going to take back our government?

Seems to me that the founding fathers would not recognize our current form of government. I advocate voters booting every single incumbent in office, limit terms of government service in the house and senate to four years, rescind their lifetime pay and lifetime healthcare benefits, and expect them to once again represent the people and NOT special interests and big money. What do you think?

  • How can we as americans treat our female veterans as second class citizens instead of the heroes they are?

I just read an article that points out that people in general and even our government treat the women back from Iraq as non-persons. They make it seem these women did not fight and therefore were not really "soldiers". Well wake up america, women have died in combat in Iraq, women have been wounded in combat in Iraq and women take every single risk that the guys do. SHAME ON US for allowing this to happen!!! What are we going to do about it?

  • What do you consider the most important basis for a lasting friendship?

I have always felt it was trust. If you cannot trust someone, you cannot be a true friend to them, nor can they be to you.....so what's your opinion?

  • Agree, or Disagree with this statement? say why.?

There are a great many people who are trying to feel good without facing the fact that life IS hard work, that we're constantly faced with difficult decisions, and that we are responsible for how we treat others.

When we had a more cohesive society, it may have been easier to feel good because the rules were clear. It has been observed that a fundamental change of focus in our culture has come about because a sense of well-being has become our only goal, rather than a by-product of pursuing a superior common goal. Individuals ceased to be thought of as public citizens whose behavior was evaluated according to an external moral standard; instead citizens began to be thought of as sick and whose behavior was an uncontrollable manifestation of medical illnesses. In other words,we used to feel good or bad about ourselves because we were comparing ourselves to the standards of our society; now we see feeling bad about ourselves as a disease, feeling good as a fundamental right. In the old days, if we felt bad, we changed our behavior; now if we feel bad, we take a pill. There were of course dangers and disadvantages inherent in evaluating ourselves by social standards, but it was a system that had generally served humanity well enough for all of recorded history. Now, we are in completely uncharted territory.

  • Question for the guys out there.....?

recently a man asked me what I needed to be ultimately pleasured...

so I told him in explicit and definite terms exactly what I, and I think most women, need to be ultimately pleasured, which includes more of a verbal than actual physical stimulation. He proceeded to say that what I said seemed too manipulative for his taste. So, tell me, why does a man want to "manipulate" a woman's body to the max and balks at "manipulating" her mind, when she even tells him that is what she needs? I suspect it is because this particular man was rather young....but I am not sure. Any opinon guys?

  • Why Can't you people out there learn to avoid damaging your skin?

I am spending five points to make this statement, and I will never again address sunburn!! Due to increases in greenhouse gasses, the radiation we recieve from the sun is magnified, much like a magnifying glass will condense the sun's rays to the point of starting a fire. People who never in the past burned are burning now. USE SUNSCREEN, limit the time you spend in the sun. Deaths from skin cancers called Melanoma are at an all time high and are climbing. The damage you do to your skin in your youth, will result in cancer when you are an adult. Protect your children, protect yourselves or pay the bloody fatal consequences!!!!!

tried to respond to your query but the email wouldn't work. blood is supposed to clot, that is what it does when it is no longer circulating. So if you don't have severe pain and clots the size of your fist or larger, don't worry about it.
