Can new car seat fabric be repaired?

I removed a spot from my car seat fabric. The problem now is i my have gone against the grain of the fabric weave and caused a wear spot (it is not white- but lightened) and broken the texture. Can i get this repaired at the dealership just like you could do with touch up paint? Or anything else? Or would they have to replace the whole seat cover (and how much, estimate, would that cost)? It is a light grey interior, cloth weave, Chevrolet Impala, new. Thanks

Update:

DODGEMAN: I like your idea. But what rerason would i give the dealer for the wear spot to get it covered under warranty?

cant touch it up, they have to replace all the upholstry, which they will charge alot at a dealership, so, take it to a automotive upholstry shop instead, it will run around $160.

What you could try is to make a patch from a piece of the material under the seat, where it is not seen, (assuming that is the same fabric?). Then you cut out the damaged fabric, using the patch as a template. Glue the patch to a larger piece of fabric, using contact cement. Then glue this in place using the extra piece of fabric on the underside of the seat fabric surrounding the area cut out.

you,ll more than likely have to replace that part of the seat, being that its new they might cover this under warranty ,id try it ,if not they,ll have to replace that part of it with a new cover, good luck on it.
