Should i buy the hard cover books of Harry Potter or the paperback?

because the hard cover is more expensive, but it lasts longer and the paperback is more cheaper, but the words are more smaller. Wat should i do?

Update:

but my mom wants me to get the paperback and i already have two of the books in paperback, so should i get the rest in hardcover?

I personally prefer the hardback. They just look much nicer on my bookshelf. But, of course, that is a silly reason to spend twice as much money. If you can take good care of the books, there is nothing wrong with going for the paperback.

  • Hard Cover!!!! I tried the soft cover and like you I found that the words are too small. I love books and I would rather pay the money for a great book that will keep than for a cheap one that I can't truly enjoy!!!!

I usually buy my books on line. They will sometimes have them 40-60% off the retail price. I've been able to get all my first additions from Barnes and Noble.com. I was able to get #5 for $10 dollars including S&H. Hard cover and brand new/used. Great condition. I have #6 as well the same way.

    Hope it helps! Good Luck!!!

Did you see the movie, and how did you like it?

I feel that the personal details that made the first 3 movies great, has been missing in the last 2. They are paying so much on the action, they are missing what made Harry Potter's first 3 movies great. It a shame. It's like the've given up on trying to make a mind blowing movie.

I have the hard back ones of all the books. I boughts the first one back when it was first published back in '97. It is still in almost perfect condition after 10 years. A friend of mine did the oppisite and she really needs to buy another one. It looks really bad. Pages are torn, as well as the cover and it all really bent.

I would buy the hard back. You get more for your money and as long as you don't drop your book down the stairs (like I accidently did with my #2) they last for a really long time!

Hmm, I suppose it depends on what you want them for. If you want the whole set, as a collection, rather than to read over and over, I'd say the hard-backs would be better. However, if you just want them to read, and don't care about keeping them in perfect condition, I'd recommended the paperbacks - simply because they're lighter, and comfier to hold and read, especially when reading in bed. (I think so, anyway!)

hardcover- expensive, but keeps the book longer

paperback-cheaper, but tends to rip easily in the future.

I would personally buy the hardcover, like you said it will last longer.

Television is produced to the lowest common denominator - i.e., the average IQ of the general public, whereas a booklet is written to the best common denominator

paperbacks may be cheap but buy hard cover because paperback feels uncomfortable when you read it.

If I were you, I would save a little more money and get a hard back they dont bend and they're easier to read when you first get them.
