Circa 1876

"Funky Broadway"

The newest resident in Dodge was a fellow from New york. A frustrated actor, he had come out West for a little adventure. His real name was Funster Rolfinski. Knowing that it did not roll off the tongue very easily, he had changed it to (5)Funky Broadway.

Funky strolled into the Long Branch, ordered himself a beer and leaned back to take in the view.

Sam The Bartender spoke to him:"You new in town?"

Funky: "Yep. From back east. I hope Dodge is as wild as they say. My life has been rather dull, lately. I feel as though I'm (3) On a Carousel......Going nowhere....Just goin' in circles." Before Sam could assure him that he had come to the right place, a fight broke out!!

"Go ahead, you horntoad ,lilly liver, sad excuse for a buckaroo...(4)Sock It To Me Baby!" Jed Grossman was picking on an underweight, ashen faced young man.

A fellow by the name of Berry Pie.

Before Berry could respond, his three brothers strutted into the saloon........ (1)Apple, Peaches, and Pumpkin Pie......

"Yes sir, Pumpkin bros!!" He knew how those Pie brothers stuck together. He wasn't about to mess with them. He quickly grabbed his hat and skedaddled !

Funky was electrified. He'd never seen anything like this!

"Real cowboys!!! Mmm.Mmm.Mmm," he muttered to himself.

He thought they were the manliest,meanest men he'd ever laid eyes on.

Peaches turned around and saw Funky. He sasshayed over,tipped his hat and put his arm around Funky....."Well helloooooooo, honey. May I buy you a drink? (2) I've Been Lonely Too Long .....WAAAAAAAAAAAAy too long."

Funky was on the next stage out of Dodge !!

She was making an apple, peaches, and pumpkin pie, when she realized, "I've been lonely too long." It was on a carousel that she had told him to, "Sock it to me baby," and he did. He later dumped her for some funky Broadway actress. She was lonely ever since.

Goin' downto Funky Broadway tonight. Boy am I hungry! What will it be, Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie? The waiter told me the menu, and I winked at him and said, "sock it to me , baby". After I ate, I said, "Hey waiter, want to go on a carousel with me"? The waiter said, "you bet, Macy, I've been lonely too long". So we went down to lonesome town to ride the carousel.

Morning has broken and we are in seek for the hero. dwelling around the corner to Alice is like Knights in white satin. We had purses & Gladrags and that i became caught interior the midsection with you, Why does it continually rain on me, I merely sense like a sprint previous wine drinker me. you would be a fool in case you think of it;s over,reason it particularly is over the River deep mountain intense

On a Carousel

I loved the ride it never ends

but it sometimes gets lonely without my friends

do I dare get off when I'm flying so high?

Is it finally time to say goodbye...

As Natalie sat on the ski-lift, looking down at the skiers slaloming down the hills, with her feet in her own skis dangling, she was wondering what kind of desert she should have.

Her sweet tooth had kicked in and she's been craving for a pie all afternoon. She knew that back at the lodge she could have her own choice of (1)Apple, peaches, pumkin pie, but she really felt like sinking her teeth into a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. She sighed knowing that would have to wait until she got back in town, so, she resumed watching the skiers down below and the empty seats on the ski-lift going down hill that keep going round and round all day asif being (3)on a carousel, though a grown up version of it, where you get off of it on the top of the hill, and continue the cycle sliding down on your skiis, in a slythering way.

As she jumped on her feet at the top of the hill and started gliding downhill, she thought of her last date with Brandon. They had gone to dinner and afterwards he had presented her with a couple of tickets to a (5)funky broadway show, and they had had a blast.

It was "Delaguarda", the show where the performance artists were flying all over the audience in bungee ropes and towards the end would pick some of them up and fly them above in the high ceilinged theater. It was an amazing interactive show and they really had a great time.

Afterwards as they were walking down the street and trying to hail a cab, Brandon had somehow managed to bring up the issue of Natalie and her ex-boyfriend, that she had met for drinks to catch up on the daily events, thinking Brandon wouldn't mind. It was a very innocent, harmless meeting over drinks but it had made Brandon flip out. She remembered that it had taken her to do a lot of groveling and cajoling to convince Brandon that he was actually the only one for her. He had said,"(2)I've been lonely too long to risk losing the most unbelievable girl that I know. The next time you want to hurt me, just (4)sock it to me baby. It's a lot easier to deal with that than the long torture of knowing you are out there giggling with your ex- though how innocent and friendly the case may be-, and laughing at his jokes. I want to be the one that makes those big brown eyes shine. You're my pretty woman". Natalie had taken the entire night to ensure him that all her love and passion was for Brandon and for him only.

As Natalie skidded to a halt, she was still smiling at the memory of it. Knowing he will be flying in from his business trip and meeting her at the cozy lodge was making her all giddy with anticipation.

After a few minutes of wondering if she should get back to the lodge earlier to treat herself to the desert she had been craving, she decided against it.

Her sweetheart would be in tonight, and a great make-out in front of the fire place followed by a snow-melting, sizzling session in their suite was much more satisfying than eating any kind of pie or cake, anyday.

Besides it kept her in great shape.

Grinning with excitement she lined up for the lift, for another round of slalom before it was time to satisfy her cravings in the most delightful way possible.
