Need help about a video card~~~?

Video cards are not expensive. You can get a great one for $60 choose Nvidia brands though they work best. Circuit city has them for $60 with a rebate though so its really $80. Well to play games at its best your computer needs a sh*t load of ram. Most people recommend 2gb or more I have 3gb running at 2.6ghz processor. Your computer should be fine with any Nvidia card ( as long as you have RAM, and their not supper advance cards) its not really that old, and yes you can install it most computer ( if not all) older then 2000 have video slots you take the computer top off see the slot and make sure its a PCI, PCI-E or another you can tell by seeing how the slot looks. DONT FORGET TO SEE WHAT CARD YOU COMPUTER ACCEPTS! very important otherwise it wont fit lol I guess thats obvious though. Then hook your monitor up and it should set up automaticaly ....

If you really want to play video games the best solution for you is to get a new computer. The video card is only one of a long list of problems that would make gaming problematic at best. The processor in the specific Dell model that you have is far too slow to support any modern PC games. It is an Intel Celeron processor with a tested speed somewhere in the vicinity of 1.0 Ghz (Gigahertz). The exact number depends on what version you have. To game successfully you need to have a processor with a speed of 2.0 Ghz, but preferably somewhere in the 3.0 Ghz range. Unfortunately one cannot simply change the processor out.

The other major problem I see with your setup is that your computer can only hold a maximum of 512 MB (megabytes) of RAM (Random Access Memory). Realistically, you need 1 Gb of RAM to play a game without substantial memory issues arising during gameplay.

Having said that, adding a new video card would only solve one of a few major problems that will inhibit you from having a quality gaming experience if you choose to stay with your current computer.

i bet from your specs that you have an old computer. I believe you might have something called an AGP slot which is located on your motherboard. I believe it could be slow, so you can try to look for an 2x to 4x graphic card for AGP. Chances are it could be hard to find. If not you can use your PCI slot, which is located below your AGP ports. You should have 1 or 2 that are not in use. So buy a PCI graphic card that matches or exceed your requirements to play games. I also recommend you get a RAM upgrade, since 128MB is below todays requirements. Try to double or tripe your ram. but since i believe this is an old computer, it could be wise to buy a new one. Its your choice.
