Go out and get some Front Line . Some pet stores sell it and all vets sell it . It works very well . Your puppy should be vet checked for worms and started on his puppy shots too .You can carry fleas in on your clothing . You can also carry in Parvo and Distemper both very deadly diseases to your puppy . Don't take any chances .Get him into the vet .

This info. is important...please read it and then you can decide what you need to do.
You need something like FrontlinePlus...good source and cheaper than the vets is petshed.com...I use it so I know it works. A flea comb with a cup of hot water & a little dish liquid to dip the comb in when you comb your dog/cat. LOTs of vac bags and vac everyday and remove the bag and tie it in a shopping bag and take out of the house. This will work and you should see improvements within two months. DON'T use sprays, powders, house bombs, flea collars and over the counter products. They are dangerous and are full of pesticides and can harm you and your pet! To let you know as I was given a paper from the vets...cycle of the flea...They hatch from a cocoon like a butterfly...in one week they are an adult....as a adult they lay a egg every hour of their lives up to 1-2 years they live. The eggs hatch into a larva in about two weeks...they spend three weeks as a larva and then they wrap themselves into a cocoon. In the cocoon stage you can't kill them unless you plan on burning down your house...fire is the only way to kill them in this stage. What makes them hatch from a cocoon is vibration, heat, and all sorts of things. They need a host to feed on within one week or they will die. ( problem being is the cocoons can take up to five months to hatch! and they all hatch at different rates!) WOW that is a lot of fleas! FrontlinePlus uses two ways to kill the fleas...they first have an ingredient that paralyzes the flea so it can't feed and it dies...it does this for two weeks. The following two weeks it just inhibits the flea eggs of the fleas that feed on them and eggs don't hatch. This is why it takes a few months, but it does work. BTW...flea baths don't work either and will make it so the FrontlinePlus won't work.

Get a good flea medication from your vet. If you've found 2 there are probably hundreds more on the dog. Fleas can live in the carpet and basebord so it's best to be rid of them a.s.a.p before they take over your home. Good luck.

Where there's one there's always more and being inside only is not enough - fleas can easily get inside. If he is old enough get him on Frontline Plus or Advantage right away. if not, work with your vet to come up with the best strategy. You have to get them off the dog and out of your house. Wash all bedding and upholstery and vacuum everything and throw away the bag. You can give the puppy a bath and use a flea comb if he is not big enough for spot-on products.

Dogs can get fleas from many different sources. Start your puppy on a flea and tick prevention program, such as Frontline or Advantage. Also remember to take him to the vet of vaccinations, etc. It could be advantagious to discuss your concerns about the fleas with your vet, too. Have fun with your new pup!

take him to the vet to get some flea medication for him. there are probably more fleas if you can only see 2. you can also buy puppy shampoo with flea stuff in it at wal-mart. your puppy probably got fleas from the breeder, i would call and let the breeder know that her dogs have fleas and if she is on a club breeders list, report that to the club. good luck, mal.

If you bought him from a breeder he might have got flees from another older dog that they had. I would take him to the vet to get rid of the fleas.
