Urban Legend. Toilets do not flush clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and counter-clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. It depends on how the under lip outlets are configured in the manufacture. Nice fun though.

For more fun, why do clocks run clockwise?

Clocks were invented in the Northern Hemisphere.

    They mimic the sundial.

If clocks were invented in the Southern Hemisphere they would be opposite.

LOL. I had to actually go try it to see. It flushes down then counter clockwise. it has nothing to do with being in the northern hemisphere. I live in Kentucky.
