The only way at present is to download them (NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, and TurboGrafx games) through the shop channel, which cost from $5-$10 each (500-1000 Wii points). You can also download the Internet Channel (500) here and the Everybody Votes Channel (free).

There are also many "classic" game packages released for Gamecube, often at great value (many games on one disc for a low price). These work on Wii, but you'll need to pick up Gamecube controllers (around $20 for wireless ones), since the Classic Controller won't work for GC games (although the GC controller will work for most downloaded games--a better buy.) I have not seen Nintendo packages, but many other classic arcade games are available (i.e. There's a Namco package for around $5, and a Midway package for $20, etc.)

If you get the internet channel there are some games which you can play over the internet for free, although only ones that use older versions of flash (internet channel only goes up to Flash 5 at the moment) and use buttons on the wiimote. One site for games that will work on Wii Internet Channel is http://www.miiwiigames.com/ and there are others (many online computer games are compatible.)

You need to but Wii points from the Wii shopping channel with a credit card or on a Wii points card from a game store. Then you go to the Wii shopping channel and download the games you want with your points. It is worth using 500 of your Wii points to download the internet channel then you will have internet access from your Wii.

These are a few sites that are good for Wii users,

    www.wiipals.net

    www.wiicade.com

    www.wiiplayable.com

    www.albinoblacksheep.com

    www.eiksoft.com

    Happy Wii-ing!

The only way to play classic games on an unmodded Wii is to buy and download from the Virtual Console channel. Games cost between 500-1200 points. It costs $20 for 2000 points. You can buy these Wii cards from retail stores. You can also buy it within your credit card. Regardless, you need to set up your Wii for internet access through a wireless or wired connection.

Personally, I think they need to make these games cheaper. More like 100 points for an older game because that is the market value for these games.

You cannot download games from web sites unless you have a modded Wii.

nintendo classic games can be found in the shop channel. if you have an internet conection, you should be able to connect with all channels. if you cant... you might want to buy a wi-fi adapter.

    All wii channels are free!!!

visit www.wiicade.com for more online fun games for the wii

look into buying a bluetooth adapter. you can create your own games and play games that other wii users have created.

    HAVE A GREAT Wii EXPERIENCE!!
