Can you recommend a good restaurant for a business meeting in downtown Kansas City, MO?
I am looking for a good restaurant for a mid-day business meeting in downtown Kansas City, MO. I'd prefer a good setting for business discussions, with not too expensive of a menu (but not too inexpensive either). Can you offer any suggestions?

with entrées ranging from $22 to $38. The steaks and chops are delicious, and the menu is one of the most imaginative in the downtown loop.
Also in the Phillips hotel is a casual bistro named 12 Baltimore entrées are priced lower and shareing is encouraged.

My answer would have to be Hereford House. I just absolutely loved the prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad. Now that I no longer live in Kansas City, I miss it terribly. I've never visited the Hereford House downtown. I went to the one in Independence a couple of times, but mostly I went to the Leawood location because it was closer to where I lived. You can check the website and look at the menu, prices, etc.

My wife and I were downtown and went to Jack Stacks BBQ. Great BBQ and wonderful place for a meeting. Its by the train station, across the tracks.
Oh the food is sooooooooo good!

I really just love KC Masterpiece which obviously has great BBQ and Hibachi(you might want to check that spelling) which is a good Japanese food place with the hibachi style-grill where they cook in front of you and what-not. They're both on the plaza.. I havent been up that way in a while, but I'm sure they're both still there.

you probably shouldnt do bbq because you dont want to get messy at a buisness meeting. Cheesecake factory, p f changs, brio, mccormick and schmitz would be really good
