Depends on your scoring system. IF you are a yardage league (i.e. 1 point for every 10 yds and 6 pts of a TD) then the answer is Gates. He will score 2-3 points more on a weekly basis then any other TE you could pick up.
IF you are a TD league (i.e. 6 pts for TD, bonuses for distances, and a bonus for 100 yd games) then I'd go with Harrison because he is going to get the bonus for 100 yd games and score more TD's then Gates.
The key is the difference between your players points per week and the player you could get to replace him. NOT a comparison between the two players themselves. Make sense?

I would give Harrison one more year. He's a slow starter, but always gives 10-12 TDs and 1200+ yards.
Gates is awesome, but you can get a really good TE with excellent production in a later round. Todd Heap will slide. Ben Watson is a sleeper. Heath Miller will see his role increase with changes in Pittsburgh. Vernon Davis could explode.
You could nearly forget about TE until round 12 or 13 and still grab a Daniel Graham who could be a huge red zone force in Denver.
Norv Turner has never been one to showcase the TE. I think Gates' production will stay the same or diminish.

Harrison. Hes Peyton's main target in the Colts' passing offense. He'll get a ton of catches, and the most touchdowns, yards, etc out of every1 else on the colts. The Chargers have LT and not the most solid QB, so that'll give Gates not as many points.

Tough question. Neither one is really a must have on your team because WR and TE never really put up big points. Out of the two though, I would keep Harrison because he will score more than Gates. You might still be able to draft Gates or another good TE later on.

Gates is one of the FEW TE's that will get you points.. harrison is going to be good as always. I'm leaning toward gates because you usually don't get alot of points from them. You can find WR's that can score for you
