How many of you buy stuff that you don't want for the kids fundraisers?

I buy junk from my son and nieces and nephews just so they can get the prizes or raise more money than the other classes.I would rather just donate money to the cause but the kiddies want those points and pizza parties.

Children have many hidden costs, do they not? This is just one of them.

I started collecting these things for "stocking stuffer" gifts.

The only thing I keep for the family are Girl Scout Cookies. (I went from Brownie to Cadette and sold more than my share--buying is a way of giving back.)

I always buy at least one item from the first child to ask. I sponsor a Beta Club and try to find fundraisers that have items that people will actually want and use and NEVER force anyone to participate.

I do sometimes depending on if I have the money. If I'm broke (like always) then I just tell the little aggrivating rugrats.

If I didn't like anything that they had I wouldn't buy anything. But there was like one or 2 things I would buy as gifts for other people.

I don't doubt that once my kids get into school I'll have a "Junk fund" set up, lol.
