Yes, in that they are able to stop. Now it depends a lot on how severe, reasons why, etc.

Surprisingly, more people have OCD than you might think, It can start anytime from preschool to age 40.
It is treatable, and if the person is willing to keep trying a number of therapies and/or medication, chances are good that he/she will hit on a winning combination.

I have OCD...and i tried everything...counseling and meds and well...I STILL HAVE IT!!! everytime i would go to counseling i would get out worse...and i would pay $250 for half an hour...SOOOO now i just learned to live with it...i always had it just that it has gotten to be worse...but nothing seemed to help and its hard sometimes, very hard...but nothing worked for me...hope it helps u!

it is not a disorder that can be cured only improved .
