"Maybe I'm Amazed"

U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon had had enough of Dodge for one day!! Nothing but trouble all day long. The morning began with (1) Roxanne Rosinski's tirade that she threw in his office. And it was ALL over the cow that belonged to the Bosse family....... Sweet old (6) Ebb Tide. Roxanne was disturbed because old Ebbie had been grazing in her pasture, again.

Roxanne:"Marshal Dillon. Keep that gow off of my crass!!"

(She always seemed to jumble up her words when she was angry!)

Next on a long list of headaches was the ongoing feud between Little Bobby Baker and the town bully, Bad Boy Brewster. This time the fight had gotten out of hand. They had both drawn pistols:

Matt spent alot of time with the two boys, trying to show them the error of their ways. Only later did he realize they had used their crayons all over his boots !!

Matt looked at his watch...."Mmm....It's a five o'clock world.

I gotta get home to my baby again. "

He saddled up, and before you could say, "It's been a hard day's night,' he was headed for Sunshine MacGillicutty's farm.

Sunshine was the love of his life and being on that beautiful farm with her was Matt's sanctuary.

He usually found Sunshine down by the lake. He looked.......Nope. No Sunshine.

As he entered the farmhouse he smelled something yummy simmering on the stove. He looked by the sofa and watched as little puppy was attacked by Gray Lady:

Matt smiled as he watched their antics....."Hey you two little critters.... Where's your momma?"

Then he heard the sound of Sunshine singing......

Matt laughed as he went out back........ "Even when you're taking a bath, you crack me up, SunnyMac."

"BABY!! Welcome home." With closed eyes she puckered up........ "Okay. After you kiss me passionately, please wash my back," she giggled, wiping the suds from her eyes.

Matt kissed her and grabbed the sponge.

Matt:"You know, the (5) First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, you were giggling. You're kind of a silly thing, you know."

Sunshine looked at him......"Baby, I'm plum LOCO over you."

As she was heading for the bedroom to get dressed......"Dinner's almost ready, Matt."

Matt:"Well that's going to have wait, sweetie." He scooped her up and gently put her on the bed. She watched as he undressed and joined her.

Matt held her in his arms, whispering in her ear......(3) You're the First, My Last, My everything."

He felt tears on her face....... "Darlin.' What's wrong?"

Sunshine:" (4) Maybe I'm Amazed at the way you love me all the time."

During the ebb tide, i remember the skies so blue...That was the first time ever i saw your face...I remember thinking to myself, "Roxanne, i hope that you will love me tender"...And as i look back now, maybe i'm amazed that you're the first, my last, my everything...i can't imagine living my life without you...

Roxanne was wondering what her name should be on Y/A. She called her friend and he said the first time I ever saw your face I thought "wow love me tender". Roxanne said no to that one. She called another friend and asked her opinion, and she said, how about something from the song You're the first, my last, my everything? Roxanne didn't go for that one either. Finally she picked one herself and she called to tell her friends she'd picked Edd tide. Do you think it's good? Maybe, I'm amazed you picked that though.

I couldn't believe my eyes. There before me on the boardwalk was Roxanne, my twin sister, french kissing my first, my last, my everything, Julio. "Hey!" Quit it!" I screamed as I ran towards them. Startled, they quickly parted. Julio cooly wiped the lipstick off of his face. "Maybe I'm amazed or are you looking incredibly ravishing this evening." he purred as he made his way towards me, arms outstretched. "What!" Roxanne and I exclaimed simultaneuosly. Not missing a beat he then turned to his new lover, "Oh my dear, I remember the first time ever I saw your face and you were just as captivating as her." Roxanne and I exchanged glances and without saying a word, picked Julio up by his pants and threw him over the pier and into the ebb tide below. "You promised to love me tennnnnderrrrrrrrrrr......." was the last we heard of him as we made our way down the boardwalk.
