I need some fun tennis drills for kids aged 3-5 that have very little experience. Any advice?

Right now I just do repetition with a bucket - forehand and then backhand. Nice easy shots because they are just leaning the timing. Any other fun games that someone with very little control can play?

Well..it's more of games that I am thinking of instead of drills ..but they still have

There is beat the champs where they play on one side until another wins

Baseball where half the kids are on each side, half of them w/out raquets and the coach hits a ball and the kid up to bat hits it and it has to land in the court and if someone catches it he's automatically out but the batter runs to the net and back and they get a run

Volleyball where they just can't let the ball touch the ground.

Hope some of those games help...

I've worked with kids around that age and a fun game that they will love is called Skeleton. All the kids line up at either the service line or baseline. You feed the ball to them and if they hit the ball over the net they go to the back of the line and if they hit the ball out or into the net they drop their racquet and run to the other side of the court to try and catch the balls that the other kids hit over. If they catch a ball they are back in and the person who hit the caught ball is out. The last person who is not c atching balls wins. Have Fun!

play the game king of the court, whoever loses the rally gets of the court while the winner stays on. The King must loose two rallies to get off while the challenger only needs to loose 1 rally to get off. Another drill is to just set a rally count and a goal, like the goal is to have a 10 hit rally or etc. These were fun drills to play when i was younger.

Sorry but you got me with this one. The youngest I've ever taught was 7. But here's a page you can try. It lists a bunch of games and describes them.
