registry back up?

when I install a fresh copy of windows xp , does this installation create registry backup , and where it is located ? tks

    no not unless its a second installation ... if u install over it it just replaces it .. theres no easy way to backup the registry imo and if ur reinstalling windows to fix a problem its most likely in the registry anyway ... if u just want a backup of the system make it with acronis true image ...
