Has anyone ever had arterial damage to the willis circle of the brain? Need advice!?
After having a multi-level cervical disc replacement they have now discovered arterial damage. They are not sure if the damage was caused during the surgery from clamping off the cartoid artery for too long, or if they are from these dibilitating new migraines. I'd like to know anyone who has had this or something similiar. I have right side weakness, last week I lost my hearing and I've been having speech difficulties from time to time. Prior to this, I was in excellent shape...even after four boys. Still in good shape, but health is failing and the outlook they gave me today was not good. I need more opinions and other things to try. I'm way too young for this.

Wow, I don't have much except to tell you that my mom was diagnosed wtih an anyurism in the Circle of Willis years ago during a routine MRI for M.S. symptoms. She did and still does have tingling and numbness on the left side, and it has been deterrmined recently that she does not have M.S.
She had a Platinum Coil Embolization done at UCSF Hospital for the anyurism about 15 years ago and all is well in that regard since then.
Have you seen a neurologist? That is important at this point.
good luck.
