Why Insult Others?
You have a wonderful opportunity provided by this forum and Yahoo answers to teach others and open minds about LGBTs. You can educate, and share tolerance and understanding.
I have seen people that ask questions met with insults, mudslinging, and name calling.
Why insult others when you have a chance to educate?
Do you think snide innuendo and viscious attacks will get you somewhere?
Do you think attacks will further your agen...err I mean goals?
Tegar...it's a light hearted attempt to make others see the silliness and double standards of some ideas. If you cannot understand that hypocrisy includes everyone, even myself then you have missed the entire point.
These are not word games but rather ideas. If it appears I play games then maybe I do, but I play idea games...not word games.
These ideas are serious and pertain to all humanity. If my search for truth offends you, or disrupts your ideas then I am sorry but it will continue.
Might as well get used to it.
Diversity in action...love it of leave it!

Anonymity is like a drug. Children love to be cruel and cruel they will be.
It's all the cost of bravery. Putting yourself "out" there you open yourself up to ridicule.
If any one of these commentors had to face you directly...they'd cower like the silly infants they are....
Point and laugh and use your humanity to give compassion even when it is not deserved. Or so Buddha would say!

It would be nice if this was used to educate people. But unfortunately...a large percentage of the questions I see on here are from people who hate gays and are just spewing their hateful garbage. Speaking for myself...the only time I insult is when I'm responding to something that is not actually an intelligent question but rather a way for some ignorant coward who has nothing better to do with his pathetic life than to sit behind his computer and fill this forum with bigoted crap.
I like giving real answers to try to educate people. But I reserve those answers for someone who is actually looking for an answer and not a confrontation.

many of us are here to teach others and to share our life experiences as an example to others.
I take offense to you trying to put yourself above the fray as if you play no part in the turmoil. Especially with your comment added to the end of your question.
You talk about snide innuendo and then turn around and type "further your agen...err I mean goals"
Take a look in the mirror!

Papa: I will not accept your latest rebuttal. You play the same song and dance over and over. You attempt to be witty and play your little games and when someone calls you out, you suddenly choose to take the high road. You mirror the behavior of a very young intelligent child. Mentally capable but socially immature.

Personally I have found your answers to be quite insulting in the past. I would have to wonder the logic of a person posting this question and yet acting as you do..........
Being honest here have you considered that you might have a split personallity or some other disorder? Have you ever spoken to anyone about your behavior?
I realize you are of advanced age but there is always hope to get better. Good luck with your struggle in life - I wish you the very best.

Perfect example of it in this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvXuA...
Why do you think it is? I suspect that it is the same way in every forum- religious vs. atheists, Republicans vs. Democrats, Conservative vs. Liberal, straight vs. gay, etc. I am tired of pointless fights and name calling as much as you are. It's just some people need a good smacking like "Rotten truth" and others. No one asked them to participate in LGBT forum and hide behind his screen name. I admit, there are a$$wipes on each side of the fence, but straight people are the once that are trolling on LGBT. And how are we suppose to educate people that have no desire to be educated nor have any desire to tolerate anyone different?
I am up for a good healthy debate when it's not driven by hate and backed by the facts.
Good old question is coming to mind - can we all get along?

Once again you have confused defending from an attack with "insulting."
Perhaps if you stop attacking, you will see a change.
Just a thought.
p.s. One of the ugly truths [another question] that I have been forced to begrudingly accept is that some people will hold onto their hatred and bigotry to their last breath. I originally thought that all people were reclaimable. How sad.

Papa M. Your questions and answers usually have your dislike or rather non-acceptance of the gay condition shine through, like a beacon of "truth". Personally, I don't think you are so bad, but you are not a great example of acceptance. Kind of a begrudging acceptance. I do understand your "in your face" dislike, but do you really, in your heart, accept the differences in the complex human condition?

I think that the " snide innuendo and vicious attacks" come from people who are trying to be mean and nasty or people who simply *won't* (or care not to) understand.
DH and I have never been like that. Our friends encompass people of all religions, sexual orientations, races and cultures.
You are in my thoughts. You should *never* be treated as less than human under any circumstances.

i always try to educate, unless the person is truly a troll and knows the truth deep down in its heart, it just gets a kick out of making fun of people

That is why there people out here answering as many questions as possible. There is an old Chinese adage, "same kind of grain will raise hundreds of kinds of people." We are indeed diverse! Thank you for pointing out that sometimes I have a tendency to throw oil into the flames with some of my responses. I too, am human, fully capable of inflicting as much pain as I may or may not necessarily be willing to take. Great question!!!
