would you move or stay put?
My husband has a very big chance of deploying (he is in the army) with in the next 3 months. He was deployed last year for 11 months and I satayed put it was long and lonly but or kids got to stay by thier freinds and other kids going though the same thing. This time will be for 18 months our family are over 1400 miles away and my hubby wants me to move back up north where they are. There would be no army anything there, but lots of family. Any suggestions?? I would love to hear some thanks.

Your husbands suggestion makes sense. Surround yourself with family while he is gone. You dont need all that loneliness for all those months.

Yes the move would be hard as in any upheaval but the addition of a support group would be extremely helpful in this situation especially if God forbid something happened. God bless him and I pray for his safe return, but i think he is looking out for the long term possibilities, and best solution in the event to help his family. As a fellow vet I do thank him for his service, and you for standing by him, the woman back home is what gets us through. God bless may he come back home safe

talk to the kids. they are the ones that are going to be getting the brunt of the move. see what they think, then make your decision with your husband.

Hard to say. I'd think that keeping the kids where they are now would be great. Less upheaval for them, right? You're their mother...which do you think would be less disruptive and/or more helpful for them?

Talk to your kids and see how they feel. I would want to be around my family personally.

If the kids are in a good environment with friends and stability at school etc, then I would stay. Thanks for serving. Those who stand and wait, also serve.

I would move close to family and friends, I think it would be much easier to cope with everything.

as a kid i recomend you staying where you are. it is beter for your kids because they dont have to deal with moving. or you could just ask the kids what you they want to do
