The Orioels??????????
What with the orioles ever since they got a new manager they went from 15 games behind 500 to like 7 games. And Erik Bedard is pitching like a god he could win the Cy Young. Does any one else see a playoff berth if not this year next?

They better do more winning than that if they want to make the playoffs this year....the playoffs this year are highly unlikely for the O's but you never know about next year....it would be great if they could sweep the Yankees!

Maybe in a few years. If they spend the money on keeping Bedard, add a lot of bullpen help, a starter and a big bat or two. Its gonna take a lot of pieces for the Orioles team to compete in a dominant American League.

Also, They are getting it done without Tejeda. I believe the Orioles are a position player, or two, short and they also need a solid starting pitcher. They will not get to the playoffs this year but I would give them a shot at it next year if they can make some good trades in the off season.

playoffs for the Orioles?
I assume your not a fans since you can't spell Orioles, but they have to go through the Yankees is the least of the worries, then Seattle and then Cleveland, it's not looking too good for them this year. I'm not sure about next year.
I guess I expect that kind of spelling from a Ravens fan. J/K

well.. no playoffs this year, but i just want them to get above .500 and ill be happy. they better resign all their players that are gonna be free agents next year. just think, they are doing all this without tejada! now, they need a better closer and they could use another good starter, which one of their good starters is out for the season because of that preseason injury :(. hopefully next year they can do better. I just looked it up and the orioles ever since they got a new manager is 18-12. Not to bad! I wouldnt mind them just signing him to at least a 1 year contract to manage the orioles.. its worth a shot.

Well, they are definately improved, I think that they are just in too tough of a division....................... I think it would be too much to ask of them to be able to beat out 2 of the Red Sox, Yankees and Blue Jays, which is what they would need to do to get back to the post-season. I agree, though, Erik Bedard has been fantastic

NO CHANCE IN HELL.
I actually feel bad for Oriole and Blue Jay fans. They have had somewhat decent teams, but are no match for Yankees and Sox over the course of a season.

New owner = a new hope.
Otherwise, forget about it.
