    ALL OF THE ABOVE..

VOTE ALL OF THE CROOKS OUT OF OFFICE.

START ON A LOCAL LEVEL BY WRITING TO YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER AND SEE IS YOU GET ANY RESPONSE TO YOUR DESIRE TO BRING OUT COUNTRY BACK TO HONESTY, INTEGRITY, AND DECENT CY.

GET HOOKED UP WITH THE PARTY OF YOUR CHOICE AND WORK IN IT AS A VOLUNTEER.

YOU MAY BE AN ARMY OF ONE, BUT ONE PERSON CAN CHANGE THINGS.

LOOK WHAT YOUR MOM DID? SHE MADE A DECENT PERSON OUT OF YOU!

Unfortunately, it is a lost cause. All the power in this country that can change things, doesnt, because that means if they do, they will lose the power and wealth. Voting can help, but if they are politicians, they will revert to being power crazed politicians when they are elected. Writing letters? The politicians dont read letters. Protests? People in power just shrug off protesters as tree-hugging, pot-smoking hippies, and couldnt care less about them. Basically, my point is that America cant revert to its post WW2 glory. We are screwed.

globalization is a real problem to me. it equalizes the nations. that's great if you're a poorer nation, but the US is the world's wealthiest. we are going to be affected the most due to shifts in jobs, money, and standards of living. the fact that we're an even bigger consumer nation than ever before, and we turn out next to nothing in real commodities, save media, information and entertainment, is a major turn for the worse over the last few years. it's rather pathetic that americans use the amounts that they do. other nations have come to build products and we buy them. buy buy buy. also, there is an ever growing divide between the sectors of people who have wealth and those who lack it, or are barely able to keep up with inflation.

but no politician will ever turn back the clock to return to a more independent status for the united states.

Don't look back- move forward, even it's a change of direction.

Involvement is your best bet at influencing that direction- voting, writing, lobbying, volunteering, protesting, contributing, and speaking are all valid ways to accomplish that.

Quit believing in the tooth fairy, the equivalent of believing anything told to you by liberals, either politicians, news reporters or your liberal friends. Vote Republican when possible, especially for president. If you fall for the demagoguery of the left, and more and more people do also and we end up with a totally leftist government, you won't have that Utopia promised to you, you will have a lower standard of living, less freedoms, and be much less safe, both in your person and your property.

Believing in the promised land of liberal-mandated Utopia will lead you into depression and perpetual sadness because you will never see it realized. Why? It's impossible.

Human nature, Mother Nature and the laws of physics get in the way every time.

To gain a perspective on how the world of human nature really works, read "Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell, a book written for us lay people...not just academicians.

To gain a perspective on liberalism, read the allegory, "Animal Farm." It's a brief read...you'll enjoy it, unless you are a liberal who believes in the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, free love, free drugs, global warming, that we can all get along wearing flowers in our hair singing Kumbaya, Utopia, perpetual motion, alchemy, that hardened, murderous criminals can be paroled, rehabilitated and will never murder again, and lastly, free healthcare,

We need a party in the MIDDLE. Democracy can't work if politicians won't listen to us. All we get are lies and gridlock--nothing gets done or the wrong things get done. The Confederate Christians (who seem anything but Christian) are running this country into the ground but the Dems just want to scream and yell to score political points.

Read and read some more, look at things instead of looking at them with the eyes of the two parties. More less get active and look for ways to address and or make change. Send in a letter a week, and when they reply send in two letters a week then.

Vote, stop putting these rich lawyers and businessmen in office. They have no connection with the common populace.

Let your elected officials know how you feel often. If they don't represent you don't vote for them. It is painfully clear that, judging from congress' extremely low approval rating, that the majority of this country is being mis-represented. We can't keep putting these selfish, power hungry, dishonest career politicians in office.

Lots of great answers here. Outlaw political correctness, loudly support a 3rd party.

    Additionally:

Bring back the persecution of communists.

Execute pedophiles, murderers, repeat gang offenders.

Ensure we vote in presidents who will select more middle-right judges who will not legislate from the bench and try to bend our constitution to their socialist will.

Eliminate the ACLU and expose organizations such as CAIR for the liars they are.

Vote--all of you, not just 50% of the population that is eligible to vote. Get involved in politics and be vocal to your elected representatives when you're not happy with what they're doing.
