This my first computer, i want to save most of my files so i bought a hp dvd+R 2.4X THAT IS WHAT IS ON THE PACKAGE IS A PROPER USE TO SAVE FILES ON, AND HOW TO GO ABOUT COPYING FILES FROM THE COMPUTER ONTO A DVD IN THE DISC TRAY.

Is it an internal or an external DVD-RW drive? Either way, it came with some software, and that is what you use to burn your files to DVD. I use either Nero or Roxio.
