What order should I do in working on my home?

The place to start would be to remove the base boards, carpeting, and scrape the ceiling. Once the demolition is complete, paint, starting with the ceiling, then the walls. Next apply the new base, then the floor. I assume youy are talking about the wood laminate type floor. If it is a full thickness wood floor, do the base after floor installation. Once the floor is installed, then comes the base shoe which fits over the floor and against the new base. Fill in nail holes in base and shoe and seal them. Finish this project before attempting others. Good luck.

First I'd remove the spray ceiling. Then remove the old carpeting. That way most of the mess from the ceiling will go out with the carpet. If you're putting in a wood floor that will require sanding, then I'd do that next because of the dust created. But if you're using a no-sand, prefinished wood floor, then I'd paint the walls first and then install wood floor. I'd put in the new base boards last, have them prepainted outside, and then touch up paint after installation to avoid paint on the new flooring. That's what seems logical to me.

I'd do the kitchen and bathroom remodeling first since they make a big statement as for the painting and carpet removal, paint the walls first then replace the flooring this way if any accidents happen with the paint it will only mess up the old carpet.

Start at the top and with the messiest work first.

Scrape off the ceilings, do any drywall patch/repair.

Remove trim

Paint walls

Do your flooring

Paint baseboard trim before putting on the wall to finish, install baseboard trim, the fill in holes and do touch up paint.

Separate the bathroom and do it all at once, loosely in the order listed.

your flooring should be the last order of business due to not wanting to muck it up. also.......you probably should start with a project list and expense sheet as that will allow you to see what you can do first, second, etc.

your biggest expenses will be kitchen/bathroom unless you spend way too much money on flooring in the rest of the house.

lowe's and home depot both have design software where you can do cost projections based on your specifications.
