The next step in the procedure is recruiting people to vote for the copied answer. If the copy answer wins, it gets moved to the top. Then it looks as though you did the copying.

New options have been added to Profile Settings recently to allow people to hide their questions and answers, and also to block other users. It's an attemp to cut down problems for people who get hounded.

does it really matter? However i would be a bit annoyed but at the end of the day theres worse things to worry about in the world than someone stealing your answers.
