I don't the exact window in Phoenix, but you can approximate the mating season from the length and peak of the season when flowers are in bloom. Hummingbirds time nearly everything according to availability of flowers. Different species of hummingbirds prefer different types of flowers, so the nesting dates vary considerably among species, depending on the types of flowers they feed on.

In the Southwestern US, some hummingbirds begin nesting as early as December, and some as late as July. They typically mate a month or more before flowers in the area reach the maximum level of blooming. The timing is earlier at low elevations and drier environments, and later at high elevations and moister environments. In Phoenix, flower blooms probably reach their peak most commonly around mid-March to mid April?
