how to generate powerpoint on the fly from website using an existing template?

OK, this is what I have in Mind. I know you can generate PDF and word documents using an existing MS word document as a template.

Essentially, you create and word document and assign some text boxes (or tags) that will be filled in dynamically through a website (I've done this using PHP).

So you fill an online form, and when you submit it, it calls a word doc that's already been creaded, and then adds the information from the html form, and then converts it automatically to PDF, or just saves it as a word doc.

I wonder if this can be done with PowerPoint. Using an existing PPT template as the Layout, which will get data (most likely text) from the HTML form and either saves it to user machine or sent via e-mail (ideally). I've looked around for a script or tutorial with no luck. Can anybody help? Thanks!

    Check out this site:

    http://poi.apache.org/

Apache has a project called POI to read/write Microsoft stuffs. I've done it for Excel and Words, but never tried it for PowerPoint. It's a simple and easy to use tools, and FREE.

If you are using Microsoft language like C#, VB, etc, they should have something similar.

Note: for the Excel one, I've created the excel file with server side language, and let the user to download it. It can probably be done the same to send out as an email.

    Hi,

PowerPoint supports GET, POST and POSTFILE via its built-in Visual Basic for Applications programming language. This works on both Mac and PC.

Details are in the Visual Basic Editor help system. Search for FollowHyperlink Method

Also, check the "Programming PowerPoint" section (about 1/2 way down) of the website I've linked below.

Either: Soccer 1 bc it's plain and has a soccer ball on it. Soccer 6 bc it shows hand movement or Soccer 7 bc it has a guy looking up @ the ball as if juggling it Good luck!
