Well, HE needs to be the one to get a copy of it and he should just be able to go to the clerks office in the county where he was divorced and inquire there about how to get a copy.

Call the county court house records department, that would be the county in which the divorce was filed. The can tell HIM how to obtain a copy and how much it will cost.

I would check at the the Recorders office of your county. Now I am not sure so if someone else actually knows what they are talking about go with their answer. I am just guessing this since this is where a copy of a marriage license would be.

If you are still living in the same county where he filed the divorce, you can just go to the courthouse. I am not sure of the cost, b/c they just changed the procedure. When I needed mine I went and printed it at one of their terminals at not cost to me. . However, they may charge you per page. I know the federal building courthouse charges 10 cents a sheet.
Good luck to ya!

From which ever court it was filed in...and yes you will need to show it to prove he is officially divorced from the last one before a new marriage license can be issued for you two

Go to the Clerk's office where it was filed. It's usually about ten cents per page and a dollar to have it certified-which it will need to be.

it is recorded at the court house. Or, call his lawyer he used in the divorce.
