Don't you hate it when a lady with a pretty maiden name marries a guy with an ugly last name?

There are two women at work that had really nice, cute last names. They married guys with horrendous last names. I miss their old names. If you marry a guy whose last name is "Blowbutt" or something like that, just keep your maiden name.

I kept my maiden name the first time I got married. I was going to this time, but my hubby bought me a car for a wedding gift and put it in my soon to be new married name. I could register the car until I went to the social security office and changed my name. Although he has a strong last name. He out smarted me and I actually thought it was clever. Anyway if the last name sucked I'd keep mine.

The first time I didn't because we have 3 kids and he's not a bad guy- just a lousy husband! The 2nd time, I changed it back to my maiden name because he was a jerk and at that point, it would have been odd to go back to my other married name!

I actually dated a guy whose last name was "Smallwood", lol. If we had even thought about getting married, I would've kept my last name--so yeah, I understand where you are coming from.

Its tradition for a woman to take a last name of her spouse.. but I agree with you, if it was something like blowbutt, I'd have to think about it. lol

Wow. Who cares? That is the least important factor about who someone marries. Maybe those guys think your last name is horrible.

That is ridiculous I think every woman can do what they want as far as taking their husbands name but how can you differentiate between names like that. I want a woman who will be proud of my name and my heritage as she is proud of me! You don't need to be getting on their case and making them think they made the wrong choice that is very rude and immoral!

I disagree, if you love a man enough you wouldnt care what your last name would be as long as your with that guy, its what happens if you devote yourself to a guy!

People are dying from disease and starvation..all over the world!

What difference does the sound of someone's last name make?!

Sugar...in the larger scheme of things, is it really that important?!
