You're not alone and I use of the latest version of Yahoo Messenger but it doesn'nt function:(.
I've these problem since Yahoo goes Lycos.
So I don't want to become a shareholder:D.

yahoo chat is something very hard to get into now days. there are many reasons for this ,, the first reason is simple if you will look at the bopttom of this page and see all those flags well those are the countries ( as you know) that yahoo is seriving now days , and that along with the fact that yahoo is recording ip addresses of everyone in chat now also makes it hard to get in . ten you have the prob with all those bots once you get in the room . i havent chatted in over 2 1/2 years and things were so different then. but i do know pl whoTRY to chat now days and have even contacted yahoo and these are the reasons they got also./ just keep trying and good luck.
