ADULTS or younger...ideas for Halloween party entertainment?

I have an annual Halloween party. It is outside. I have the decor', food and music down.

I would like to make it more fun by adding some tried and true ideas for entertainment. For adults and children.

I've done a ton of research and I've done many games and I need more ideas for games for adults. Or anything that might be entertaining.

Anything goes, any ideas at all would so be appreciated.

I want to hope that adults can have fun without getting drunk. Yes we do drink a bit but not with the kids around so much. Also just want to have a simple good time. To get those quiet people up and around.

Place in my backyard and garage, planning on serving food in the mad scientists lab(garage), always have a fire as well in the back yard. I decorate huge, I make all the food very scary and festive. I always have party music fun and festive as well. I do games and prizes. Hand out favors to all. I want everybody to get excited about Halloween, like I do and am.

Everyone has to dress up as a famous old time movie monster or hero. Prizes for best costume. Dye the champagne green and make up some Halloween themed cocktails- like a Caramel Apple Martini and Red Devils. Serve "gross" kiddie food s along with the adult foods- like gummy worms and cookies shaped like fingers. Adults surprisingly like that a lot. If you have a private yard, get one of those outdoor fireplace dishes where people can sit around the fire. Toast marshmallows and talk.

There's a great halloween game where you pass out different food and props in the dark and pretend they're creepy stuff like brains and eyeballs etc.

There's a story about it here:

i played a weird game once at a halloween party, i dont know what its called though. there is a pile of flour with matchsticks in them, and then you have to use your mouth to pull the matchsticks out with getting minimal flour on your face, if you drop it into the flour you still have to get that matchstick. if you make the pile fall (a bit more than slightly falling) than the game is over and you get your face put into the flour. its quite fun actually, and the person with the least flour on them is the winner.

Well, you could always have Bobbing for Apples, pin the bone on the skeleton, a pinata of some sort, Halloween Charades, you could have some sort of Murder Mystery (depending on how well your friends may go along with it)... There are tons of resources on the internet.

ok, heres a good thing that the kids will like. go to walmart and buy a crappy kiddy pool for like 30 bucks. then, fill it with water dyed with food coloring or fruit punch, or something red. put little fake skulls in there (u can get skull candy, flashlights, etc. at any dollar store, 10 for $1, or something like that). drop them in the pool and they can bob for skulls in there, and they can keep the skull if they can get one.

also, you could have ANY games that have to do with kids getting candy.
