what do you think of Sonic people?

Why should I tip them. It's not that hard bringing the food to my car. And most of them don't even wear roller skates, they just wear their regular shoes. Sorry no tip from me.

Here's the deal. I rarely have cash on me so I usually use the little credit card machine on the order box. However, I don't usually tip when I do have cash. At most Sonics, you have to pull up and order and someone brings it out to you. There's no other way to get the food from inside to outside. I don't tip at the McDonald's drive trough. Why should I have to tip at the Sonic?

I've only been to Sonic once...I live in NJ and we don't have them here, but I saw a commercial for it and some friends of mine and I road tripped 6 1/2 hours (it should have been 3, but we got majorly lost) to go to one. It didn't disappoint, but I didn't even think to tip! If i ever go again though, I definitely will. I used to be a waitress at Ruby Tuesday and occasionally I would work curbside, and I would get furious when people didn't tip me when I brought their food to their lazy butts, so they didn't have to get out of their cars in the rain.

YES, I tip the carhops. That must take some talent to rollerskate AND carry a platter of food!

I tip if I am paying with cash, but not when I use debt or credit. I guess I should always have some cash on hand for the tip since the credit/ debt option doesn't let you write in a tip.

Yes, I tip at Sonic! The food is being brought to you - it's different than McDonalds and Burger King.

Besides, if it were my job - I would want to be tipped. That thought is what made me start tipping. I like to delight the server........................and I do appreciate the service.

No i had no idea that you were to tip sonic employees... i mean they just drop your food to you car.. and they don't really wait on you as you would be waited on in a restaurant...

I didn't know you were supposed to. I've only been to a Sonic once because they dont have them in San Diego. Which totally SUCKS!! It makes me cry at night

Nope. I really didn't think you were supposed to until my dad did one time. I don't get it because you don't tip your server at Burger King or Whataburger.
