I haven't read the Hannibal Rising but I have seen the movie. I'm just confused in the last part. Did he also ate his sister?

Yes the Nazi soldiers who killed and cooked her fed her to him without him knowing. He had been eating what they gave him to survive so he took it and the last one he got revenge on told him right before he killed him that he had eaten of her flesh as well.

Yes, i have read all the Thomas Harris books Hannibal Rising was a complete let down, very poor - would not even bother to buy it. If you are a mega fan perhaps go to the library and loan it, but really its not at all good. Very disappointing read

Other people cooked and ate his sister which deeply disturbed him and supposedly caused him to go crazy and committ all the subsequent atrocities.
