Right now is the time of year where stores let there stock out on the shelves sell out without restocking because within the next few weeks stores get there fall toy lineup in and will be restock with all new items.

The movie figures were more popular than Hasbro expected, and the toys are in short supply. There is also a high demand for certain figures by collectors which is motivating some people to go out to stores early to buy up the more sought after figures and resell them on eBay.
