What's up with the Tigers?

They lost 10 of their last 14, and made it a race again. If they keep going like this they can wave any chance of the playoffs bye bye. What's going on?

Update:

I wonder if some of the young pitchers are getting tired arms. Last year they threw some extra games with their playoff run. Anyway with them losing it just helps the game by having a race with the Indians, Yankees and Seattle.

my Indians have been doing the same thing, so at least you didn't lose ground.

The AL Central needs to get it's *** in gear I think, so we can get both of our teams in the playoffs.

Every team will go through down periods during a long season. The Tiges will be just fine--they have the right make up to win the whole thing in my opinion.

Just remember back to last season. They completely collapsed at the end of the year and ended up losing the division to the Twins and no one gave them a chance at all against the Yanks. Then after they blitzed the Yanks and A's, no one thought they'd even lose a game to the Cards. The point being, that when you're playing your best, you're really not THAT good, and when you're playing your worst (like right now) you're not really THAT bad.

For some reason Eastern teams struggle when they go on a West coast trip. I guess from the time difference & travel they get tired. The tigers have alot of injury issues going on right now too with the bullpen being hit the hardest. Hopefully Zumaya & Rodney are back to true form when they return.

They were only 2 games ahead of Cleveland at the break so it was a race then too. Cleveland has lost 4 in a row so both teams are struggling as of late.
