What could it be?

Every time I wash my whites in my automatic, some come out with orange spots on them..?

Does anyone know what it could be and how can I get them out..?

Update:

There is no orange coloured clothes in there....or bean juice.

I agree it could be rust, I will check it out.

Update 2:

I am not a dirty washer you idiot.....how rude!!

Does it also make a lot of noise as mine did that just before the bearings went and it seized up. It's the grease in the bearings being released.

Ok about the washer, run 1 cup of vinegar on your largest load setting, with no clothes in the washer. Do this 1 or 2 times. Then test the machine with some towels to see if the orange residue is gone.

Now the orange spots will not come out if you have already dryed your clothes. The spots are set in, if they are still wet pretreat them for 24 hours with a pretreater.

What your dealing with is a mineral deposit buildup in your water heater. Run the hot water in the sink, then fill a class with the hot water. Is there an Orange tint to the water? If so, attach your garden hose to the drain on the hot water heater. Open the valve, drain and flush the heater. Then after the water heater has refilled, use a solvent to dissolve the buildup in the washer, and run it empty through a whole cycle. This should help you.

Do you add the bleach to the water before you put the clothes in or pour it in after the clothes are in the washer? It could be bleach burn. Add the bleach while the machine is filling with out any clothes in it.

It could be rust from your machine. You might try cleaning the insides of the washer. Once your clothes get rust stains, I son't think there's any way to get them out.

Try running the washer a few times with nothing but soap and water in it. And check for tags on your clothing.... sometimes a tag can bleed onto your clothing.
