There is a process called a "power scan." If this does not work nothing will. The power scan sends EVERY code stored in the remote to the TV trying to turn it off.
Turn your TV on. Hold down the TV mode button on your DISH Network remote until all the other mode buttons light up. Let go of the TV Mode Button. It should be flashing.
Press the power button one time and let go. (If you have two power buttons on the remote press the one for the TV.)
Pointing the remote at the TV. Press the "up channel button" on the remote every second until the TV turns off. Every time you press the up button it tries the next code stored in its memory. (This can take up to six minutes. If after six minutes it does not turn off, your out of luck.)
Once the TV goes off, press the "#" button. Place the remote back in SAT mode and it should now operate the TV power, volume, and mute.
Sometimes you get a code that will only operate the power on the TV. Try the power scan again. It starts over where you left off.
Sometimes there is a delay in the TV turning off. If you pass the code, you can go backwards using the same process, but with the "down channel" button instead. Go slower this time.

If you have a Dish Home compatible receiver you may goto the Dish Home Interactive channel and look up your remote codes there. (Ch. 100>#1 customer service>remote help) If not, they are actually listed on Dish's site under the technical help section http://tech.dishnetwork.com/ or you can simply call them, they are open around the clock so just tell them what kind of tv you have.

Press the menu button on your dish remote and go to settings>remote settings>lookup code and find your brand of TV and it should work after that.

You can go through all existing codes and hope that one of them matches your equipment - see your manual for details.
Other than that there is nothing you can do except buy a learning remote that supports Dish and then reach it the codes for your other components

Took me about 30 seconds. Follow the link to Dishnetworks site and in "Program Remote to TV/Other" Click on By Menu. Very easy to follow and it does it for you.

Thank you so much Riddick! I have been on the phone with Dish and they wanted to charge me $50 for someone to come out and program my remote! This saved me :)
