Probably Iverson. Mainly because he is a more exciting player that can probably fill up the seats. Also, he is a guy that can score 30+ points a game and that is very hard to find. You can build around that. Kidd on the other hand needs other good players around him for him to be effective.

Jason Kidd because he is a leader and an all around good player. Iverson can be a ball hog at times and doesn't play enough defense. And Jason Kidd has been an all star starter, Iverson, not yet.

Jason Kidd, no doubt. He will simply make everyone around him better game after game. Plus he also scores and rebounds as well. That is a big treat for a team and his extremely amazing passes are a big treat to the fans also.

Let's put it this way. If you get Iverson, you would see him score a lot. If you get Kidd, you will see everybody in the floor scoring and that's what a team needs to do in order to win games. One of the must-haves for a winning teamis a pure point guard and Kidd is one of the best of them around.

I'd rather have a point guard who gets triple doubles on a daily and with amazing court vision than a point guard who scores 30 ppg shooting a terrible 35% from the field.

Yeah, I don't like these two choices for starting a franchise either, but Kidd has got to be the pick. THe younger guards on the team (and they will be young, if the franchise is just starting out) will learn more from Kidd in practice than AI, because we all know how much AI likes practice . . . .

God bless Iverson's will to win, but I have to roll with Kidd. Kidd brings more than just a scoring will to any team, and while that doesn't necessarily mean that's not a better thing to have, I'd just take Kidd b/c from the get go he's gonna involve more people.

    Go Bulls!

A.I. of course. He sells out arenas, no matter where he his playing. I don't remember the last time I heard some one say J-Kidd is coming to town tonight let's go get tickets. A.I. has taken a franchise to the finals by himself. Kidd has been to the finals, but he wasn't the dominant scorer/defender on the team. A new franchise needs someone who will fill up the seats, period. J-Kidd has had much better teamates than A.I. but has not had anymore success than A.I. I bet Dallas and Jersey would have taken A.I. over J-Kidd if the opportunity had presented itself.

Neither, I would rather have Chris Paul, the PG of the future. Deron Williams or Tony Parker are good choices too. If I started a franchise I would want young, smart, and motivated players with good attitudes. Kidd fits all of those except the young part.

Jason Kidd. Without a doubt. He may be older, and wouldn't be my first choice for a 'starting a franchise' around, but he is by far the more complete player out of the two mentioned.

Probably Jason Kidd. Iverson is a one-trick pony with little left in the tank. With Kidd, you've got a guy who can rack up triple-doubles and help you team however you need him to: scoring, dishing, or both.

Easy. J Kidd. He is a true PG, one of the best in the game. He has size too. Iverson takes a lot of shots and doesn't make many of them. Plus he's a total thug.
