I have a question.... 7th book spoilers warning...?

Harry didn't die and come back, the portion of Voldemort's soul within him died. Most likely the curse hit him directly on the scar which is the source of his and Voldemort's connection, the horcrux. Harry couldn't die while Voldemort still lived bcause Voldemort recreated himself using Harry's blood. When Harry was cursed, he (and the portion of Voldemort's soul) then went to a place within him when he was struck where he was able to clarify things for himself which included talking to Dumbledore.

The hallows were 3 objects created by the 3 Peverell brothers (if you take Dumbledores's theory) which were perceived to make the holder of the items the master of death. The invisibility cloak, the resurrection stone, and the Elder wand.

Harry was in fact dead. He was basically in the same position Voldemort was in for all those years after he tried to kill Harry the first time. The difference was that Voldemort's body was destroyed the first time, so he had no place to go after the horcruxes kept him alive. He was able to return to his body because Voldemort had made himself a horcrux for Harry by taking his blood to resurrect himself.

The three Hallows were three items that would allow one to control Death. The Elder Wand would kill, the Stone would resurrect, and the cloak would hide. The cloak was Harry's through direct decent, the stone was given him by Dumbledore, and the wand is a little more tricky. Wands choose their owner. But a wand will shift alligence to a new owner if the new owner kills or forcibly takes the wand from the previous owner. Grindewald stole the wand from Gregorovich. Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald and gained possesion.Voldemort thought he just had to take the wand from Dumbledore (even after death) to become the master. Upon consideration, he concluded that he must kill Snape to gain the wand's allegience because Snape had killed Dumbledore. What he didn't realize was that the wand had already been taken from Dumbledore before Snape did anything. Draco had disarmed Dumbledore, therefore unwittingly gaining posession of the wand. When Harry stole Draco's wand while escaping, the Elder Wand knew that it's master had been defeated and transferred itself to Harry. Thus, in that final duel, the elder wand would have overpowered Harry's wand and killed him (for good) but Harry was the one in command of its power and the wand's spell was rebounded on the weaker wizard

Most of the answers about dying and the horcrux are pretty much right.

The Hallows, the Elder Wand, the stone and the invisibility Cloak would theoretically make the owner of all three invincible but they are a deliberate illusion placed by Death. Only the brother to have the cloak lived because it didn't involve reversing or imposing death. (Harry was descended from the owner of the cloak).

Voldemort thought he had the invincible Elder Wand. He didn't - it wasn't his, it was Harry's (because Harry had disarmed Malfoy - the previous owner of the wand). Additionally Voldemort had Harry's/Lily's Blood (as said from Book 4) and therefore had the one thing he couldn't process - love - inside him. And what's more Harry followed his mother's footsteps and sacrificed himself.

Whether it was that Harry in fact had all three Hallows, Lily's blood or his self-sacrifice to end the fighting and protect his friends, between them they were powerful. Too powerful for a bad tempered loner on a power trip! (So Voldemort's magic became more and more ineffective)

The Deathly Hallows were three items create by Death and given to three brother, the Peverell brothers. The Deathly Hallows were an invisibility cloak, a stone that can bring back the dead, called the Resurrection Stone, and a wand that only responds to it's master, called the Elder Wand.

The Elder wand had been passed down from wizard to wizard by killing the previous owner since one can only truly possess the wand if they win it from someone. Voldemort got his hands on it in the end.

The Resurrection stone brought people back from the dead but it was really just their ghosts since it's impossibles to actually bring someone back from the dead. The Ring of Slyhterin in which Voldemort had made into a horcrux was actually this stone but he didn't know it at the time and Dumbledore had hidden it in the Golden Snitch which Harry opened in the end of the book

The Invisibility Clock was passed down from father to son by the Peverell brother that got it. It turns out that Harry is the how-any-many-great-grandson of the Peverells and he inherited it from James Potter.

And it was said that whoever possessed the three Deathly Hallows would be all powerful so Voldemort was trying to collect all of them.

Technically, Harry DID die, but it was the part of Voldemort inside of him that died, not himself, since he was the eighth horcrux that Voldemort wasn't aware that he made.

And no, Harry didn't have to die all the way, just the part of Voldemort in him had to die in order to kill off Voldemort completely since after the part of Voldemort in Harry and in the snake were destroyed, Voldemort would be left extremely weak and vulnerable since he would only have like, a ninth of his soul left or something.

Its sort of like what his mother did, she died for Harry. Harry gave himself up for all his loved ones and they were protected as well as him. He wanted to die, so was saved in some way. The horcux was removed, because he died but came back since he died selflessly. The hallows were the stone that could bring people back, the Elder wand that couldn't be defeated (it was not Voldemorts but Harrys in some way-I think- so Vol couldn't kill Harry with it), and the Cloke that is totally invisable. I'm a little confused to, but I think I'm right. It wasn't all that clear.

When Voldermort tried to kill Harry instead of killing Harry, he killed the horcrux that was inside of Harry.Harry did not have to die, just liek the ring, was still wearable, just cracked. To kill the horcrux you dont have to kill what its in.There were 3 hollows, the elder wand, which was just a powerful wand, the resurection stone, which could bring people back to life, and the invisiblity cloak. The person that had all three would be the master of death.

He didn't die because since he was a horcrux he first had to be destroyed with something very powerful. The Hallows were the Cloak of Invisiblity, The resseraction stone, and the Elder wand. Voldemort stole the wand from Dumbledore's tomb. The ressurestion stone was the Golden snitch that dumbledore gave Harry. and the Cloak was James' (harry's father). And no Harry never died in the first place.

Harry didn't die, he just got knocked out, the horcrux in him was destoyed and voldemort was knocked out as well. Harry couldn't die when the horcrux got destroyed because harry and Voldemort share the same blood!

harry was the horcurx but he couldnt die because he wanted to sacrifice his life. that changed everything. voldemort killed the horcrux, therefore he was no longer immortal so harry could kill him.

Voldemort destroyed the horcrux in side Harry but Harry couldn't die because Voldy took harrys blood in book 4 so Lilys blood is inside Voldy, thats why he cant die while he's alive.

I think you need to reread because it states it quite clearly
