my friend is getting her nose peirced?

most the girls in my school who have nose piercings and wear little studs wear those kind of clothes as well (a&f ect.)

it was really popular in our school for awhile.

personally i would wait a year or two.

its not like she has to wait till she is twenty just alittle older i think would be a wise decision.

and my friends that have it. when they take it out there is a small hole that is noticeable up close.

When your young you tend to make decisions for the present but you should think about how you feel when your older..its not like bellybutton peircing because its right on your face and you cant hide it. Hopefully she isnt just doing it out of excitement and she has seriously though about it.

I'm a freshman, too. I honestly think NO. It's not really that weird to get a stud in your nose if you wear Hollister and stuff. It's actually a pretty common stereotype for an Emo or Punk kid to peircings. Speaking as your peer, I wouldn't want my friend giving me fashion advice on this one. Yes it's true that jobs won't let you have facial peircins but she's 14. She has two more years befor the work force considers her, and who knows she may go, "God why did I get this god awful thing in my nose?" in two years. It was smart though to check before you told her your thoughts. :)

Actually a stud nose ring is more of a preppy thing. who would of thought? Let your friend do what she wants. Just because you don't like it doesn't give you a reason to try to control her. If her parents are ok, chill out. Besides, its not like its going to scar her for life, like say a tattoo,and everyone get's those. Just as long as she doesn't go for a, say, 14 gauge hoop, she should be fine. By the way thats what I had for a few years and that does leave a mark.

I listen to hardcore music but i dont dress in all dark colors... or go around socking everything i see...

btw high school will be really rough if you try to live other peoples lives for them..

I work at Jamba juice and were aloud to have them...

a nose ring doesnt really jeopardize her chances of getting a job. theres a lot of places around here that you can have them...

Tell her that it's going to be extremly hard to find a job that doesn't pay minimum wage. The only place she could work with her face pierced is at Hot Topic or some other rocker store. Food places won't even let you have facial piercings.

I know its mean but maybe you should tell her about the things that will happen to her if she doesn't take good care of it. Or maybe just be honest and tell her you think its a bad idea.

so what? let her do what she wants your not her mother and ur her friend u have to support her if she wants a stud and its not that bad its just a peircing its not like shes doing drugs..

if she wants it let her have it, its her body and she should do wat she wants with it. and the sooner or later she'll realize if it was a good choice or a horrible mistake.
