This is too broad a question...every local area has their own providers. Your best bet is to contact your local phone and cable companies to see if they have dsl or cable (respectively) available for you if you want high speed. If you want dial up then either try other national providers like people pc or netzero.

Recently in a magazine I saw, Verizon was rated the top ISP. Verizon is good in my opinion too because they use fiber optics which is pretty fast. Try using their FioS service.

I don't know for sure but Insight is not it. I use it and it sucks.
