Drop to a command line and do this.
telnet <address of web server> 80
hit return a couple of times you should get a server response. If you can't telnet to port 80 after trying a few servers then I guess ISP is filtering port 80. If it works you know you have a browser problem.

I agree with Ahmad. Telnet <computer address> 80 will allow you to check to see if your computer is actually connecting to the remote server. If it works as suggested, it is a browser or configuration issue. If it fails, then it is either being blocked by a proxy / filter or the response has exceeded the time-out limit.

if u cn ping the website then try opening them in browser through their ip address also try to change unchk all the boxes in LAN setting in IE properties in connection tab. chk for setting in ur firewall if u have any other browser try to open the website in that browser or dBL clk on my computer and try to open any website her by typing address in address bar. if this dosent work then call ur isp provider.
Source(s): you can download firefox from here www.Mozilla.com/Firefox the ip address for this site is 63.245.213.13 - interludeLv 41 decade ago
i doubt that they'll ban http protocol. that's the basic internet protocol. that would be like banning tires on highways.
perhaps you have your browser set to use a proxy. check your browser setting for proxy setting.

evaluate this actuality: It took you longer to style out those numbers and questions than it could could artwork them out on your guy or woman. you will have only asked your dad and mom for help.
