usu in certain countries esp in commonwealth nations - a nurse that is sent to schools/colleges/univ to take care of the sch kids to handle minor ailments and to see if referral to doctor is required. in a sch - there is perhaps one case daily wh warrants having a nurse to be stationed

A resident nurse is a nurse who is in their first year or so on the job. The time period may vary, but it is called residency when the nurse is just gaining experience at the entry level.

Interns: The flunkies that just got out of med school.
Residents: The trainers to the flunkies.
Attendings: The ones with the scalpel and the god complexes.
