Marvelous question, from one crocheter to another!!!

I have some great suggestions, but also would like to explain

to you how easy it is to find other websites besides what I am

    going to offer you now.

Use a search engine: yahoo.com; dogpile.com; google.com---you get the idea, right? In the blank space, type

in free crochet patterns and tap the search button. If you want

to be more specific, type in free Christmas crochet patterns

or free vintage crochet patterns or free doll crochet patterns....and you will be amazed at the wonderful patterns

so many are willing to share with us!

The three I am offering you now came via a search with

yahoo's search engine--I thought it only right since this question and answer area is Yahoo's......

    www.crochet.about.com

    www.freevintagecrochet.com

    www.home.inreach.com/marthac/links.html

That last address is a huge selection! But you are just as

likely to find things you would enjoy creating on any of the

addresses! Go get your favorites and crochet away!!!

    All the best,

    Doris

One of my favorite places to get crochet patterns is here:

    http://marthac.info/links.html

There are some dead links in there but even so, this site has the most free patterns I have come across. I also like the way it is organized.

    You can also try here:

    www.craftown.com

    http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory.php

Several of the yarn companies have free patterns on their websites. Lion brand, Bernat, Caron (Simply Soft yarn), and Coats and Clark (Red Heart yarn) are among these. Lion brand actually sends out a newsletter periodically. You can check them out here:

    www.lionbrand.com

    www.bernat.com

    www.coatsandclark.com

    www.caron.com

Hope that helps! Have a great day!

craftster.org. the Crochet forum has all sorts of weird and wonderful things (on top of the not so weird things) and a lot of posts have with a pattern, tutorial or link to the original pattern. I saw an ear of corn on there this morning.

I look here first for free crochet patterns.

  • 1 decade ago

    www.crochepatterncentral.com

    or

    www. crafster.org

would be my first 2 stops.

www.anniesattic has a different free pattern everyday but they're mostly doilys and afghans and geared more to the older crocheter.
