forstly, there is no way u will have norton on ur computer and it wont slow down ur computer.
norton antivirus slows down ur computer by 38%... accurding to a survey conducted recently by pcworld.
its either u have it or u get another antivirus.

I wish you'd learn better English, so you would be more understandable, but as to your question, there is NO WAY you can install Norton to work smoothly on WinXP. It WILL bog down the system, hang it up and eat up memory and space.
You did not ask about other antivirus programs, so if you are determined on Norton, you can anticipate problems.

1.Remove the option of antivirus started after restarting.
2.Keep upto date ur virus definition so it not ask for update.
3.Keep firewall & close the firewall of winXP

Best advice is don't install it. Take it back to store and download this free one. http://www.free.grisoft.com/
Norton will use a lot of memory and definitely slow down your computer. There are no options to change that.
