I would tell her to ask her mom when she gets home. Tell her she can explain it better then you can. It isn't your responsibility to have to explain this. She will most likely forget by the time her mom gets home. But if you did want to you should tell her the truth in an age appropriate way. Say something like, when a mommy and daddy love eachother they get together and make a baby. Then if she asks how, you can get into the sperm and egg thing. It is not recommended to lie to a child about how babies are made. I think with a much younger child(under 5) I would just say something like when a mommy and daddy love eachother, they pray/make a wish for a baby and sometimes that wish comes true. But where as this child is older it is appropriate to tell her the truth.
