what are some qualities that you would look for in a secretary or administrative assistant?

    Loyalty, Trustworthy, Dependable, Independent. You need to have someone you can trust to keep things running when you aren't there. You dont' want to have to be worrying about what's going on in the office when you are at a convention etc. Also, you need to be able to relate to that person. I have found that someone who looks great on paper, may not be a good match for me. I usually find I know within the first two minutes of an interview if this is someone I will be able to work well with.

    Trust your instincts when it comes to choosing your assistant. Afterall, you want to be able to have a great working relationship with them.

    I look for someone who is reliable and will show up on time all the time, then someone who is motivated, organized, and gets the job done in a timely fashion. When looking for a secretary or admin asst, you should really just go on gut feeling. Chances are you already know motivation and being on time and all this other stuff that i am suggesting is well duh...so just go with your gut on if this person is right for the job in addition to such qualities.
