They will be looking for the sharpest pencils so do a bit of homework finding the main players (like EA Games) and approach them direct.
You will need to impress them right away with your skills and drive etc. They will only pick those that amaze them to interview so think what your opening line will be, because you won't get a second one.

Hi
Dont get employed, work for yourself,
And create a game thats really good and put it online and get it tested and copyrighted, approved and make lots of money, its worth the effort.
