whats the difference with toy poodles, tiny toy poodles, and teacup poodles?

Toy poodles are actually a breed ...there is no such thing as teacup poodles or tiny toy poodles they are simply runts that stay smaller and breeders sell them for more money because people think they are cute when really they will end up with many more health problems in their futures.

Poodles come in 3 varieties and 3 varieties only - toy, miniature and standard. So-called "teacup" poodles are a scam - people are breeding unhealthy, under-sized dogs and charging too much money for them, selling them to people who don't bother to do any research first and don't have a clue what they're buying. If you want a cheap poodle - go to a shelter.

Toy poodles are about the size of a maltese - and minis vary greatly in size it seems, but should be about the size of a sheltie. A toy poodle should be just as healthy as any other breed.

It's all trying to play up the size of the dog. Basically most of it is advertising language just to grab your attention.

Obviously it's worked.

from what i can tell its just based on what the breeders wanna say. most say toy is 6-9 pounds. tiny toy is 4-5 pounds and "teacup is 3 and under.

Their size--genertically they are all the same breed of dog.
