Rearview mirror won't stick?
I have a 2004 Explorer and the rear-view mirror has fallen off. I have tried several different kinds of glue, but it's so hot outside (I'm in TX) that nothing sticks. Any ideas?
We have let it sit with the a/c going and that didn't work.

I'm assuming you've been buying the rearview mirror glue (found at any autoparts store, or even Wal Mart). On the package they tell what temps they work best in. Most of the time in the summer it's just too hot for them. Try letting it set over night when it is the coolest. If you can pull it into a garage or something when you do this it might help keep it even cooler. I've been waiting on putting mine back up for a few weeks as I've been waiting for a day when it gets cold enough at night to get it to hold again. There's not much you can do until you get the temp cold enough for a many hours for it to set in. Good Luck as I feel your pain. Also, make sure you properly prep the surface by getting it completely clean again.

Go to a parts store and buy the special rear view mirror glue and follow the directions exactly.

It requires a special type of epoxy - you could probably get some at an auto glass shop. And make sure the area where you're sticking it is super clean and dry.

There is special glue for that. Just go to an auto parts store. They will know what to give you.

AutoZone, or other car repair places sell a type of sticky patch just for rear view mirrors. I remember buying one when mine fell off. hope this helps.

Try asking a car sales man or a car technician. Try calling the 1800# for your car model and ask them what glue they use, or just buy a new one...Ebay, maybe??
